Texas State Board of Education

Among the new standards for social studies :

But, the board agreed to strengthen nods to Christianity by adding references to ''laws of nature and nature's God'' to a section in U.S. history that requires students to explain major political ideas. They agreed to strike the word ''democratic'' in references to the form of U.S. government, opting instead to call it a ''constitutional republic.''

Besides being godless, I thought the Obama administration was socialist, neither democratic nor constitutional. Republicans like the adjective Republican, as in "Republican proposal ", but cannot stand the positive sound of "Democratic proposal". So they say "Democrat proposal". Somewhat childish but if they won't respect the name of the party should not the Democrats always refer to "Right wing proposal"

The Board also replaced the word “capitalism” throughout their texts with the “free-enterprise system.” .

The Republicans continue their way with words and names, such as "healthy forests" and "death taxes" that are often misleading.

Board decisions replace Thomas Jefferson with John Calvin because Jefferson believed in separation of church and state.

These Board actions will result in even more mis-educated Texans.
