North Dakota Attacks Choice

The legislature has been busy making abortion as difficult as possible. It has banned the procedure upon fetal heartbeat and on fetal "pain", and is working on a "personhood" law, which would ban all abortions and some contraception.  A dreadful situation, as outlined by Gail Collins in a column that includes this sentence: "Opponents pointed out that while the House was busy protecting fetuses, it had killed a bill providing free milk or juice to impoverished schoolchildren who had actually been born."
