Atheist Excluded from Air Force for Refusing to Say 'So Help me God'

An atheist airman stationed at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada was denied reenlistment for refusing to sign an oath with the words “so help me God"

Outrageous - and dumb.   Dumb because we need and want people to reenlist. Outrageous because religion has no place here. The Air Force is part of the state and should respect the separation of church and state, as well as the beliefs of individuals.
