A conservative was elected Governor of Kentucky, partly because he appealed to evangelicals by visiting and supporting Kim Davis, who had refused to issue licenses to same sex because of her religious objection.
   I don't see the "religious objection" to same sex marriage. The state is not ecclesiastical and does not render marriages to any particular god. It just provides secular rights and duties for the relationship..
