In response to Kofi Annan's call for more troops for the U.N. force, under Italy's leadership, for southern Lebanon, Tom Cruise has offered to join up together with a contingent of battle-hardened Scientologists. The rights to any movie that comes out of this adventure will not be offered to Paramount.
In a separate announcement, the leader of the U.S.-based Minutemen promised to send to Lebanon two dozen platoons of trained Minutemen, whether or not invited to do so.
