Ken Buck: 'I Disagree Strongly' With The Separation Of Church And State

Should we elect anyone who is against the Constitution he will be sworn to uphold?

  • Let me share an observation with you. In the UK we have the Church as an arm of the state. The Queen is the Head of the Church of England. Religious education and daily worship are both compulsory in school. The result? Something like 3% of the population go to Church and a very high proportion (including me) are atheist or, at least, agnostic. Maybe ending separation would not be such a bad thing?

  • Hugh M Thanks for interesting, informative comment. With the extremism of right wing evangelicals, pro-lifers, and homophobes here in the U.S., I doubt if ending separation here would lead to such a benign result
