The Capture of bin Laden

Washington March 14, 2004 Just as the Bush administration has been publicizing a massive effort to capture al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, a former high-level C.I.A. official has revealed that bin Laden has already been captured. This startling assertion was made in a brief interview given moments before the official left the country on an international flight.

According to the informant, a combined U.S. Pakistan task force located the elusive leader in a spider cave in Pakistan just 3 miles from the Afghanistan border. On March 5th, just before dawn, the task force overwhelmed the guards and seized bin Laden without harm. The official would not reveal the source of his information but displayed photos confirming the capture.

It is undersood that bin Ladin is now being held in an undisclosed, secure location and that the news of his capture will not be released until October 30, 2004. The significance of this date is unknown but it is speculated that it may have something to do with Halloween.
