That plain clothed police officer who mistakenly attacked James Blake is lucky. If Blake had a weapon he could have killed the officer in a legitimate act of self defense.

Trump

At a large rally yesterday, Donald Trump took questions. An early questioner, before asking a crazy question about "Muslim training camps" in the US, claimed that Obama was a foreign Muslim. Unlike John McCain in 2008, Trump failed to correct him and just proceeded to deal with the outlandish question.  This cowardly action was deplorable and says a lot about his character.

What did we all learn?

Watched most of this overlong debate last night, "won" by Carly Fiorina. Most of the candidates did OK. The lasting image in my mind is of the Trump Smirk, employed constantly whenever he was being attacked.

My takeaway is that, despite Mr. Trump's current lead, the final ticket will be the strongest, Bush/Fiorina
