"
LONDON – The French actor Gerard Depardieu has been granted Russian citizenship by President Vladimir Putin..."

Depardieu is fleeing from an oppressive income tax just as famous ballet dancers Nureyev and Baryshnikov defected to flee from the oppressive Soviet regime. This may seem fitting given Depardieu's role in "Green Card", but he is a really dreadful ballet dancer.

What response?

Last night I was in the gym, shooting baskets with the usual intermittent accuracy and possibly getting into the ongoing game with young studs. Then, a young player, one I didn't know, came up to me and asked "Did you used to play basketball in your day"

In your day?  Was that the  the day of two-handed set shots and underhanded foul shots? Or the times of Naismith and peach baskets?  So I just said yes.

Fiscal Cliff Deal Reached

Republicans fought long and hard and successfully to keep people earning a measly $300,000 a year from paying an extra 4% tax on the amount over $250,000.

And does the President really think that those making about $395,000 a year are part of the middle class?

Hillary in Hospital for Blood Clot  - here are some earlier GOP quotes:

Bolton says Hillary Clinton has a 'diplomatic illness'

Rothschild Underling Hillary Clinton Feins Illness

Appearing on Fox News Tuesday, syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer joked that Clinton “seems to have a severe Benghazi allergy.”

Republicans Accuse Hilary Clinton of Lying About Concussion

Nearly all of Fox News' evening news shows ridiculed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for having to postpone her testimony on the Benghazi attack because of a concussion

Fox's Megan Kelly and Monica Crowley as well as The Daily Caller's Jim Treacher have all suggested that Hillary is faking her illness

Some senators have agreed on a compromise plan to improve the filibuster situation. But it falls woefully short, mainly just requiring some disclosure and speaking activity.

.I'm all for transparency and continuous speaking. But let me again suggest one additional change: limit filibusters to three for each party each year in the hope that parties will then be more circumspect. Perhaps also permit only one of these to be used in a confirmation vote.
