VP Debate

A lot at stake here, but not the foolishness by some Republicans warning of a conflict of interest for the moderator, Martha Raddatz. Seems that long ago Barack Obama attended, along with other Harvard Law Review members, wedding of Raddatz to one of his fellow Review members. It's the height of absurdity to try to make something out of this supposed relationship between her and one of her ex-husband's friends.

Presidential Debates

The debates are important both in themselves for candidate assessment and in campaigns because of the immense number of viewers. And of course Mr. Romney did well and President Obama's performance last Wednesday was miserable. But the impact of one debate should pale beside the accomplishments, vision and plans of the President and the obstructionism and right wing agenda of the opposition.

WOMEN'S RIGHTS

If Romney wins and gets 2 terms, women can kiss their right to full healthcare goodbye. Romney opposes Roe v. Wade and will appoint Supreme Court justices who agree with him and are willing to overturn this established precedent. So women's constitutional right to choose will disappear.
