Brian Williams/John Boehner Interview

I admire Brian Williams, a good reporter and presenter with a terrific sense of humor. However, I think he failed in the part of the Boehner inteview that I saw.

In explaining the Republican attempt to repeal the health care reform act, Boehner referred to our health care system as the best in the world. Is it too much to ask that Williams respond with a question such as "How can ours be the best system with 40 million people uninsured and with our low standing in many health care measurements?

Happy New Year! Look back in anger at 2010. Continuing financial problems, slow recovery, few jobs. Earthquakes, forest fires, devastating floods. But the worst disaster is the failure to do much to address the inevitable ultimate disaster: climate change.
