trump rally

Leading up to Donald Trump's rally last night his campaigned distributed 20,000 tickets for the theater venue that had only 1400 seats. That sounds stupid but actually it was necessary. The event was only for Trump supporters but was being held in Burlington, Vt., strong Bernie Sanders territory. A mailing to that many people would be necessary to find 1400 Trump supporters.

At the event itself, there were a fair number of Sanders supporters, who voiced loud protests. They were treated quite roughly by the Trump people, who probably rightly resented that they had lied to get inte the theater.

"Scalia: Constitution Doesn't Ban Government From Supporting Religion

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on Saturday said that the United States government cannot favor one religion over another but that the Constitution does not prohibit the government from preferring religion over secularism, according to the Times-Picayune in New Orleans."

Another controversial and incorrect statement from this Justice. The government cannot choose between one belief system, religion, and another, belief in a world without a creating and presiding god.
