News Item: The New York Times reports that the Department of Homeland Security
will now evaluate requests for city protection less on politics and more on an assessment
of where terrorists are likely to strike.

Comment: It is certainly comforting to know that in the dangerous 4 years since 9/11, the city of Los Angeles has been less safe because of protection funds allotted to Bismarck, North Dakota.

News Item: Experiments have shown that Viagra improves memory in rats.

Comment: Maybe old codgers will remember birthdays and anniversaries.
Maybe young Lotharios will remember her name.
