Forcible Medical Procedure

The Virginia state Legislature has passed a bill that would require women to have an ultrasound before they may have an abortion. This is a mandate that an unwanted, unneeded medical procedure be undergone in order to receive lawful medical treatment.

How can this be justified? A mandated insurance purchase pales in comparison to this governmental intrusion.
