LYNNE CHENEY BOOK CANCELLED

April 5,2004 The New American Library announced today that it had
cancelled its planned publication of "Sisters", a racy novel written by
the wife of Vice President Cheney. The novel, first published over 20
years ago, features brothels, attempted rapes, and a lesbian love affair.

A spokesman for the Library, Roger Trueblood, said the withdrawal was
based on the business decision that, even though the election generate interest, the resulting sales would be insufficient to warrant publication.
He denied that the cancellation was in any way related to the recent visit
by IRS agents to the Library's New York office.
